Data Requests

Effective and last updated October 31, 2026

1. Requests about your own data

To access, delete, correct or export the data we hold about you, email contact@opentab.cc with the subject "Data request". Include:

We identify check-in records only by user ID, so we may need it, or other matching details, to confirm the record is yours. We will confirm we received your request within 10 business days. We will give a full response within one month (GDPR and UK GDPR) or 45 days (California and other US state laws). For complex requests, the law lets us extend this by up to two more months (GDPR) or 45 more days (US). If we need more time, we will tell you within the original deadline and explain why. If we refuse any part of a request, we will explain why and tell you how to complain to a data protection authority. Requests are free, unless they are clearly unfounded or excessive.

An authorized agent may submit a request for you if they provide written proof of authorization.

Deleting check-in data: after we delete your record, the installed App will create a new one at its next check-in. To stop check-ins completely, uninstall the App, or use the portable build, before or right after making the request.

Data on your computer: we cannot access it. To delete it, use the App's settings or remove the App's data folder.

2. Law enforcement and government requests

We disclose user data only in response to valid legal process, such as a subpoena, court order or warrant, or in a genuine emergency involving risk of death or serious injury. Send requests to contact@opentab.cc. We hold very little data; at most, it is the check-in fields listed in the Privacy Policy. We do not have browsing history, page contents or passwords. Unless the law prohibits it, we notify affected users before disclosing their data.
